I’ve decided that a week long birthday celebration is in order at this age…. Disney sells tickets for the park after 6 pm for the lights, parade, and fireworks. Which we didn’t know . And they had been sold out for months. 🙄 We did Universal and it was amazing.

No service as we cruised so be warned – entire trip on this post! Tourists 🙄 We noticed people decorate their doors Second stop Grand Turk – Turks and Caicos islands. Rented a golf cart to drive around They had a real nice presentation for all branches of the military.

We’ve made it back and now we spend days unpacking. Thanks for traveling along with us. We will share future travels as we make them. Much love to all ♥️ Definitely not in Wisconsin anymore!

The consummate road tripper never passes a Buc-ee’s In Florida we have to be clear.

No fun on the road today. Made for a LONG travel day. Ugh.

Headed back to the Sunshine State. Bittersweet as this is our first trip without Joan Jett. Miss her laying between us as we drive. 😢

Built a trip to Vegas entirely around seeing the The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. The bonus was hanging out with Jeanie and Adrian for a few days.

Fall was is full swing in the northwoods so, hopefully, it starts soon at home. 🍁🍂

Made a quick trip to Hayward to see old friends on Moose Lake and to place a bet at the casino. Last day before heading back to the homestead.

Spent the day in Bayfield dodging raindrops. Incoming

Left Montello and going to Bayfield WI for a concert to poke around a bit….

Spent just about two weeks in the UP for two family weddings, family visits, and all that implies… 😬

Ahhhhh the Northwoods – Hayward Wisconsin! The Wisconsin of my yoot and vacation spot up til we moved to Florida. Also the original planned retirement spot. It makes my heart smile to be back! 🥰

Wow August! SoFlo heading into the big storm months and us in Wisconsin are ordered to wear a mask at all times when out! After a day of decompression from company last week, we got ready for a trip up north to Hayward and the UP. Stay safe! 😷 Love to all ♥️

Springtime!! After living in an area that looks the same pretty much all year round for the last 5 years, I am reminded of what it feels like to watch the sun wake up the trees, grass, and flowers. 🥰

The drive through Kansas was so nice! Beautiful spring green pastures for miles and miles with cattle laying around or grazing. It seemed so tranquil and harmonious. Kind of conflicting since I really like to eat beef!

Last Arizona sunset. First day back on the road. Flagstaff, Winslow, fun with signs.

Last few days in the valley of the sun. Took our last ride in AZ for a while. Went to see the old Gillespie Dam out past Buckeye. The West valley is very different from the East! Rode to Tortilla Flat, a small (pop. 6) unincorporated town that is the last surviving stagecoach stop along the Apache Trail. It was originally a camping ground for prospectors in search of gold in the Superstition Mountains. The town is owned by a former farmer from Indiana. Thanks for making it to the end! A crazy cloudy day in Mesa as a cold front moved in!

Sunny and close to 80 degrees! Jeanie came down for the Super Bowl with all sorts of goodies! 🥰 Heard we’re in for a cold snap this week – no surprise – they heard we were coming!! Have a good week everyone!

Made our move to Mesa. This place is like a small city!! Met a few nice people, got a few dubious looks – like the Hell’s Angels just rode into town – but I think we’re going to love it! 😁👍 So much to do!!

Getting the rig ready for our move to Mesa this weekend so it was a day of work and errands. Looking forward to our new digs and being closer to Jeanie! 😍

Rode to Tombstone. It’s as cool as it is cheesy!! Found out that the famous gunfight did not actually happen at the O.K. Corral and when first written about was described as the “incident near the O.K. Corral.” 😁

Slow news day, but being with family is SO worth the slow down! ♥️

Slow Sunday – just like we like! Jeanie came for the evening so she headed back to Peoria. We rode to church then hung out with the family for the afternoon. Everyone have a good week!!

Ahhhhh!! A beautiful drive from Las Cruces to Tucson to be with family! 🥰

Doubled back and rode to El Paso. Found a really old cemetery on the way and had our first Mexican food (believe it or not) since being in the southwest. Getting ready to head to Tucson and hang with Mel and Pat for a little bit. 😍Have a great weekend!

We took a ride on a beautiful backroad from Las Cruces to Hatch. It was mountains and pecan orchards! Hatch is where the real hatch chilis come from and you can get them in everything, including a green chili sundae!

Hello New Mexico! We are loving the mountains and we have some beautiful sunny days on the horizon to get out and explore! Dopplebock – one of my favs!
